Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ResumeKit ("the Service"), operated at resumekit.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use ResumeKit, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information in your account and resume content
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create resumes or cover letters containing false or misleading information about your qualifications, experience, or credentials
• Impersonate another person or create documents on behalf of someone without their consent
• Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or connected systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service beyond normal usage
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its content without explicit permission

4. Subscription Plans and Payment

ResumeKit offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free: Up to 3 resumes and 2 cover letters. Includes AI-powered summaries, country-localised formatting, and PDF downloads at no cost
• Pro ($12/month): Unlimited resumes and cover letters, all templates, and priority support. Billed monthly via Stripe
• Lifetime ($49 one-time): Everything in Pro, paid once with no recurring charges. Includes access to all future features and templates

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are in USD and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

Lifetime plans are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of purchase, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

6. AI-Generated Content

ResumeKit uses artificial intelligence to generate professional summaries and cover letters based on the information you provide. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or generic phrasing
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use
• ResumeKit does not guarantee that AI-generated content will result in job interviews, employment, or any specific outcome
• You must ensure that all content on your resume and cover letters accurately represents your genuine qualifications and experience

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of the personal information, work experience, and other content you enter into ResumeKit. We claim no ownership over your resume or cover letter content.

Our platform: The ResumeKit service, including its design, templates, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is owned by ResumeKit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works of the Service.

8. Usage Limits

Free plan users are limited to 3 resumes and 2 cover letters. Pro and Lifetime plan users have unlimited document creation. We reserve the right to enforce reasonable rate limits on API calls and AI generation requests to maintain service quality for all users.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion permanently removes your profile, all resumes, and all cover letters. This action cannot be undone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be provided.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ResumeKit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to ResumeKit in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes via email to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
